Remove the skin of the herrings. Wash the fillets, discard the bones. Put the fillets and the apple into a blender with 1 teaspoon of paprika and 1 tablespoon of crÅme fraöche. Pepper, do not salt because of the herrings. Mix. Spread on slices of toasted farmhouse bread, crusts removed, sprinkle with chopped dill.
